Devils Active Ahead of Trade Deadline

The New Jersey Devils are reportedly exploring possible moves ahead of the March 3 trade deadline. According to multiple sources, the Devils are among the teams interested in San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier and Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane.

Possible Meier Trade

Meier, a 26-year-old left wing, is a skilled offensive player who has recorded 22 goals and 30 assists this season. He is considered a top trade target for several teams, including the Devils.

The Devils are reportedly willing to offer a package that includes young players and draft picks in exchange for Meier. The Sharks are reportedly seeking a significant return for their star forward, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Kane Pursuit Intensifies

The Devils are also reportedly interested in acquiring Kane, a 34-year-old right wing who has won three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks.

Kane is a veteran leader with a proven track record of success. He has recorded 14 goals and 20 assists this season.

The Blackhawks are reportedly willing to trade Kane, who is in the final year of his contract.

Other Targets

In addition to Meier and Kane, the Devils are reportedly interested in other players, including:

  • Bo Horvat, Vancouver Canucks
  • Ryan O'Reilly, St. Louis Blues
  • Jakob Chychrun, Arizona Coyotes

Devils Aim for Playoff Success

The Devils are in contention for a playoff spot this season. They currently sit in fifth place in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 31-20-9.
