Breaking news! The 2020 NBA draft is just around the corner, and the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in trading up to select a player with the 28th overall pick.
According to sources, the Lakers have been scouting several players who are expected to be available at that spot.
The Lakers are looking to add a young, talented player to their roster who can contribute immediately.
With the 28th pick, the Lakers could select a player like Jalen Smith, a 6-foot-10 forward from Maryland, or Tyrese Maxey, a 6-foot-3 guard from Kentucky.
The Lakers are also reportedly interested in trading up to select a player like Anthony Edwards, a 6-foot-5 guard from Georgia.
Edwards is considered to be one of the best prospects in this year’s draft.
The Lakers have not made a decision on whether or not they will trade up, but they are expected to make a move before the draft begins on November 18.
